Mia is, well, CUTE! She's also a smart little cookie with correct structure and movement, lots of heart, and a very Aussie sense of humor.
Sheila brought Mia home to Perennial when she was 5 months old. Mia started her AKC show career in Pennsylvania in May 1998, winning the 9-12 class and Best of Breed Puppy both days. In July 1998, Mia flew to New Mexico, where she now lives with Dorothy Montano at Los Suenos Australian Shepherds. Four days after she arrived, Mia hit the ASCA ring with Dorothy and came away with a 4-point major! You Go Girls! However, Mia really doesn't like showing, so she spends her time "organizing" things back at the ranch now.
Mia's first litter was whelped in February 2000. The sire was AKC and ASCA CH. Zuzax's Coupzax, and Zack and Mia had some very nice puppies.
Mia whelped a big litter of eleven puppies at Perennial on May 10, 2001, sired by our guy Rowdy ~ WTCH AKC & ASCA CH Jan-Mar Tuxedo Junction, AKC & ASCA CD, RD, RTDsc.
In January 2002, Mia had her third and final co-bred Perennial & Los Suenos litter in New Mexico. The sire was CH. Private Stoc's Texas Ranger.
Mia's pups are showing terrific potential in all venues ~ conformation, herding, agility, obedience, tracking, flyball, swimming, home decorating.... Watch for these guys in competition in the next few years!
