Sheila and Sage hitting the obedience and conformation rings in Lexington, KY,  June 1998. Sage was Best of Opposite Sex in conformation, and in obedience she earned her first novice leg and was High Scoring Certified Therapy Dog in Obedience that day.

Sage came to us in February 1998 needing one point for her AKC championship, which she finished on June 6, her first time out with handler Jim Holt. She was Winner's Bitch/Best of Winners/Best of Opposite Sex at the McKinley (OH) Kennel Club Show. The next day, her first time as a special, Sage was Best of Opposite Sex to Westminster Best of Breed winner (1997) CH. Briarbrook's Full Speed Ahead PT.

Sage was shown in conformation 9 times in 1998 for the following results:

Sage was a wonderful therapy dog, and worked with special needs children once a week while at Perennial.

Sage's Obedience Record

Sage earned the first leg of her AKC Companion Dog (CD) obedience title in May in at the Lexington Kennel Club show. She was High Scoring Certified Therapy Dog shown in obedience. Sage and Sheila went from obedience to the conformation ring, and Sage was Best of Opposite Sex!

Sage earned her second leg at the Kalamazoo Kennel Club show in late May, and finished up with her third leg and a fourth place at the Valparaiso Kennel Club show on June 25.

In 1999, Sage went to Australia in whelp to our handsome Ben ~ UAGI UAGII Perennial Spellbinder AKC & ASCA CD RA AX OAJ RS-O GS-E JS-E EGC OAC EJC TN-E WV-O TG-N AD FDX CGC HIC TDInc  DNA-CP ~ and she lived out her life there at HevnSent Aussies . Sadly, Sagie passed away just before Christmas 2004. Our condolences to Pauleen and Ron.
