Travis grew up as an army brat with Nita and Joe Gandara, their 6 children, and his Perennial "brother," Harper. They spent a couple of years in Turkey, where Harper learned the ropes in obedience and agility. They got back to the States and Travis and Nita hit the AKC obedience ring in August 2004 at the Heart of America shows in Kansas, where they placed 4th on Friday with a 195.5. On Saturday they had another 195.5 and won a runoff for 3rd place, and on Sunday he placed 3rd with a  193 on Sunday.  That's quite a debut for a young dog with virtually no experience working around other dogs, and he's never looked back. Way to go, Nita and Travis!

Travis plays hard, and rests hard, as you can see!
